Welcome back to make the *most* of the *rest* of 2016 Mid-Year Review! This is part two of a brief summer series I’m hosting on the blog, and if you’re just finding it, click here to catch up on part one!
Mid-Year Review Q’s
Today I’ll prompt you with a review of the last six months, and then I’ll leave my answers below. It’s time to go over what’s working (aka what you need to do MORE of) to make the *most* of the *rest* of 2016.
Let’s end with these five questions:
1. What activities, products, actions, or ideas are working for you this year?
2. What was your best creative business payday? What product or services are selling well? What actions bring subscribers, fans and followers?
3. What isn’t working? What’s costing time and money without generating a return?
4. What do you want MORE of in the second-half of 2016?
5. How might you change your approach going forward?
Mid-Year Review A’s
What activities, products, actions, or ideas are working for you this year?
I’ve been more decisive. I decided it was time to stop him-hawing about upgrades, important training, and next-level leaps. I tackled every obstacle with precision and purpose so that I could eliminate the stalls in my business once and for all.
What I’ve learned so far is this: Being decisive helps free up more creative, income-generating energy. Because leaping is a lot easier than standing on the edge thinking about the leap.
What was your best creative business payday? What product or services are selling well? What actions bring subscribers, fans and followers?
Your Best Year 2016. I had to think about this one for a second, because I’ve had best-selling months this year for different products and programs I created. However, Your Best Year 2016 earned consistently for more than four months.
It’s also brought more growth to my business than anything I’ve ever created. It’s such a passion project for me, and behind the scenes, I’m deeply enjoying the early stages of production towards Your Best Year 2017. Oh boy, here it comes.
What isn’t working? What’s costing time and money without generating a return?
My workflow is pretty streamlined right now, but I’m spending way too much time procrastinating / checking / putting off the work that’s important. I find myself incessantly checking social media and email, a bad habit I’ve copped to for years.
I’m currently working on my schedule and system to find motivational hacks and improve productivity. You can bet that my findings will be shared in YBY2017!
What do you want MORE of in the second-half of 2016?
I want more growth and connection. I’ve got too much “watching” and “checking” going on, and too little sharing and connecting. <<< So good! I love that realization.
How might you change your approach going forward?
I’m still in the process of wrapping a project from the start of the year, but once it’s complete, I need to add some fun and creativity back into my day. My working hours haven’t allowed for much spontaneity, and I’m SO looking forward to weaving it back in and never forgetting how important it is again!
How about you?
If you do a mid-year review, please link up or share what you discovered in the comments. I’ll be back next week with a few more prompts for us to answer together. Until then~
I needed this exercise. Was honest with myself and admitted I’ve been trying to be something I’m not. How freeing!! Now let’s just hope I have the courage to act.
